This insulated roof curb has a 45" square OD that will fit a vent or fan with a 45.5 inch OD or AVP's 42-inch vents or fans. These insulated curbs are only compatible with vents or fans that have a curb mount flange. AVP's prefabricated Roof Curbs are for flat roof or low sloped roof applications.
Insulation is Johns Manville R-6, 1 inch thick foil faced polyiso board. Polyiso has the highest R-value per inch of any rigid board insulation. This insulation meets both CFC- and HCFC-free specification requirements.
Insulated roof curbs provide an extra layer of protection from the outside weather. The Johns Manville insulation is double foiled to stop the build up of moisture. Instead, the foil repels water to prevent possible mold from forming.
The flashing allows for fasteners to securely attach the curb to the roof. Once placed, it is to be covered with roofing material for a water-tight seal.
Building heavy wooden curbs can cause damage to the roofing membrane. Instead, eliminate the possibility of damage by using AVP's prefabricated ones. This roof curb is aluminum alloy 3003-H14 with a 0.040" thickness (± 0.005”).

A Roof Curb is a metal frame to act as a base for mounting a roof vent or fan. As a result, this base will provide additional height allowing for installation in all climate zones. Proper installation ensures that the accessory has a level platform for attachment. They also work as a hatch allowing for easy access to ductwork, HVAC units or maintenance in the attic.
AVP's Curb Mounted Flange Vent Lines are ready to install on the appropriately sized roof curbs. This includes the Aura Vent, Pop Vent and Round Back Vent. AVP also manufactures Attic Fans and Aura Solar Fans with curb mount flanges for powered ventilation.
