This Universal Vent is an off ridge vent that can be both an exhaust or intake vent. To clarify, an off ridge vent is a UV-resistant static vent suitable for installation on sloped roofs or parapet walls. This model is the UV-75 which is 55 inches long with 75 inches of Net Free Area (NFA).
AVP's Universal vent has the ability to work as either an intake vent or an exhaust vent. If you place it on the upper portion of the roof, this vent can be an exhaust vent. However, when placed on the lower end of a pitched roof it can be used as an air intake vent similarly to a soffit vent.
This off ridge roof vent is also excellent for ventilating parapet walls. This is because it will allow the buildup of heat and moisture within the wall to escape.
This vent is ideal for proper attic or parapet wall ventilation. The 1/8 inch opening between the louvers keeps out precipitation and wildlife while allowing air to move freely.
In addition to its functionality, it has a low-profile design that looks pleasing on shingled roofs and parapet walls. The hooded vent design and horizontal louvers will keep out rain and snow. Powder coating is available to match the color of your roof.

The diameter size of all roof vents determines the Net Free Area, also known as the "NFA". NFA is the measured amount of opening each vent offers at each specific size. to be available for venting air through a specific vent size. The calculator below will find the overall number of vents needed to effectively ventilate the targeted attic space.
Once you have the area, the numbers shown below are the number of vents of that size which would ventilate the specified area with both 1/300 and 1/150 rule.
*Please note
The roof vent calculation values shown above are for the exhaust portion of the roof. The same amount of net free air inches is needed for air intake as well. Proper roof ventilation consists of 50% air exhaust and 50% air intake.
