The Universal Dormer Vent is an off ridge vent that can be used as an exhaust or intake vent. To clarify, an off ridge vent is a UV-resistant static vent suitable for installation on sloped roofs or parapet walls. This model is the UV-90 which is 63 inches long with 90 inches of Net Free Area (NFA).
This vent is capable for installation on roofs with a pitch of 3/12 or greater. If installed on the upper portion of the roof, this vent can be used as an exhaust vent because it's engineered to allow heat and moisture to escape. However, when placed on the lower end of a pitched roof it can be used as an air intake vent similarly to a soffit vent. This off ridge roof vent is also excellent for ventilating parapet walls because it will allow the buildup of heat and moisture within the wall to escape.
This dormer vent is ideal for proper attic ventilation. The 1/8 inch opening between the horizontal louvers blades will keep out precipitation and wildlife while allowing air to move freely.
