10-Inch Aura Attic Fan | Model AF-10-C12 | 500 CFM

The 10-inch Aura Attic Fan is 10 inches in diameter and has a 12-inch tall collar. The model AF-10-C12 exhausts air out at 500 CFM. All 10-inch attic fans have a standard 16" x 16" square flange.

This is an attic exhaust fan. It has an all-aluminum construction, making it durable and long-lasting.

Motor Type: Shaded Pole – Open Ventilation

With 1/20 horsepower and 500 CFM, this 10-inch attic fan is perfect for ventilating typical attic spaces.

This Attic Fan also has an optional Shut-Off Switch, Thermostat, and Humidistat (THSOS).

Installation:

A collar height of 12 inches is for low-slope or flat roof ventilation. However, if installed on the upper portion of the roof, this attic fan can be used on a 0/12 to 5/12 pitch roof in all climate zones.

The Aura Attic Fan exhausts air continuously even when the motor is off. This attic fan works passively because of the Venturi Effect. When the wind blows against the outer louvers, this creates an upward draft, which allows air to flow freely out.

How it works:

The exhaust fan pulls air out of the attic at 500 cfm.

The 10-inch attic fan will remove heat from the attic during the summer and moisture during the winter.

The attic fan will still ventilate passively even when the motor is off. Even the slightest breeze can create exhaust ventilation to draw air out of the attic.

Calculate number of Model  AF-10-C12  Vents Needed for a Given Area

Enter the Width and Length of the attic space you need to ventilate to calculate the area. You may also enter the area directly in the "Area" field. It is not necessary to hit the Return or Enter key (which will refresh this page), just enter numbers in the fields.

If you know it, you may enter the area directly here

The diameter size of all roof vents determines the Net Free Area, also known as the "NFA". NFA is the measured amount of opening each vent offers at each specific size. to be available for venting air through a specific vent size. The calculator below will find the overall number of vents needed to effectively ventilate the targeted attic space.

Once you have the area, the numbers shown below are the number of vents of that size which would ventilate the specified area with both 1/300 and 1/150 rule.

*Please note
The roof vent calculation values shown above are for the exhaust portion of the roof. The same amount of net free air inches is needed for air intake as well. Proper roof ventilation consists of 50% air exhaust and 50% air intake.
