6 inch Pitch Pan - Pitch Pocket with 8" Height | Model PP-6x6-H8 | Open Bottom

AVP's pitch pan is a flashing (shaped like a box) with an open bottom. This aluminum container is open at one corner to wrap around roof penetrations such as electrical conduit, plumbing pipes, and HVAC equipment. The pan is filled with mastic material to provide a watertight seal to the roof through the open bottom.

The PP-6x6-H8 is a 6-inch square box with an 8 inch height and a 10-inch square flange. The 6 inch pitch pan is perfect for sealing smaller roof penetrations. AVP offers an array of sizes if a different size is required.

Pitch Pan Roof Flashing: Works with HVAC systems, TPO, PVC, and EPDM roofs.

Open pitch pans - pitch pockets are used to flash roof penetrations that would be difficult to flash in any other way. They work with all roof types, such as TPO, PVC, and EPDM.

AVP’s pitch pan sizes also vary from square boxes to rectangular boxes. Square pitch pockets are ideal for containing single penetrations, while rectangular pitch pockets are made to contain multiple small penetrations close together. As a result, every customer can find a pitch pocket to fit all sealing needs.

Made from durable, rust-free aluminum that will not rot, AVP’s pitch pockets will last and protect the roof. If you have any questions, please email sales@roofvents.com or call 1-800-ROOFVENT.

The diameter size of all roof vents determines the Net Free Area, also known as the "NFA". NFA is the measured amount of opening each vent offers at each specific size. to be available for venting air through a specific vent size. The calculator below will find the overall number of vents needed to effectively ventilate the targeted attic space.

Once you have the area, the numbers shown below are the number of vents of that size which would ventilate the specified area with both 1/300 and 1/150 rule.

*Please note
The roof vent calculation values shown above are for the exhaust portion of the roof. The same amount of net free air inches is needed for air intake as well. Proper roof ventilation consists of 50% air exhaust and 50% air intake.
