16-inch Intake Roof Vent | Pop Vent Model PV-16-C8

The 16-inch Pop Vent Air Intake Vent is ideal for proper attic ventilation. The PV-16-C8 is 16 inches in diameter with an 8-inch tall collar. In other words, this vent has 8 inches of clearance between the base and the inner louvers. In addition, the 16-inch Pop Vent has 200 inches of Net Free Area (NFA) and a standard 24” x 24” flat flange.

Air intake vents allow outside air to enter into attics and ventilation spaces.

Installation: Ideal for low slope or flat roofs

16-inch diameter roof vents are commercial in size and, therefore, ideal for commercial settings. For those looking to ventilate their homes, please view roof vents with a smaller diameter.

This 16-inch attic vent is suitable for climate zones 1-6. This intake roof vent should be near the lower end of the roof.

To determine the number of vents you may need for proper attic ventilation, see our Vent Calculator.

How it works:

The Air Intake Roof Louver provides fresh air into the attic or plenum. Heat and moisture may cause the structure to decay without proper rooftop ventilation. This roof vent also helps keep insulation dry in the winter to prevent mold growth.

The round design is also aerodynamic, allowing it to withstand wind speeds beyond 200 mph. The Pop Vent can also be painted to match the color of the roof.

Pop Vents are UL-listed, rated up to 50+ PSF or wind pressure above 200 MPH, and certified by the Texas Department of Insurance, & Florida State Approved.

If you know it, you may enter the area directly here

The diameter size of all roof vents determines the Net Free Area, also known as the "NFA". NFA is the measured amount of opening each vent offers at each specific size. to be available for venting air through a specific vent size. The calculator below will find the overall number of vents needed to effectively ventilate the targeted attic space.

Once you have the area, the numbers shown below are the number of vents of that size which would ventilate the specified area with both 1/300 and 1/150 rule.

*Please note
The roof vent calculation values shown above are for the exhaust portion of the roof. The same amount of net free air inches is needed for air intake as well. Proper roof ventilation consists of 50% air exhaust and 50% air intake.
