6-inch Round Back Attic Fan | Roof Mounted Power Attic Ventilator | Model RBF-6-C2

The 6-inch Round Back Attic Fan provides 120 CFM, is 6 inches in diameter, and has a 2-inch tall collar, which offers 2 inches of clearance between the base and the inner louvers.

The model RBF-6-C2 has a total cfm output of 120 and has an 11” x 11” square flange.

Installation:

This fan will suit all climate zones if installed 2 feet from the roof's peak or less. The roof's pitch must be 3/12 or greater.

The 6-inch Round Back Fan is engineered to be placed on roofs with a 3/12 to 12/12 roof pitch.

How it works:

The fan plugs into a 110-volt outlet to operate. The maximum fan output is 120 CFM.

This attic fan will exhaust air continuously even when the motor is off. It works passively because of the Stack Effect, which occurs when the outside temperature is colder than the inside temperature. Hot air rises, so the warmer indoor air is buoyant and presses upward to exit through the fan, allowing air to flow freely out of the attic.

This fan is ideal for venting out attics. Its round design is aerodynamic and can withstand strong wind and all weather conditions.

The 6-inch Round Back Fan is great for residential roof applications. Because of its low profile, it's attractive on the roof. It can also be painted to match the color of the asphalt shingles.

The diameter size of all roof vents determines the Net Free Area, also known as the "NFA". NFA is the measured amount of opening each vent offers at each specific size. to be available for venting air through a specific vent size. The calculator below will find the overall number of vents needed to effectively ventilate the targeted attic space.

Once you have the area, the numbers shown below are the number of vents of that size which would ventilate the specified area with both 1/300 and 1/150 rule.

*Please note
The roof vent calculation values shown above are for the exhaust portion of the roof. The same amount of net free air inches is needed for air intake as well. Proper roof ventilation consists of 50% air exhaust and 50% air intake.
