AVP's Square Roof Curb Caps will fit over Roof Curbs to keep out the weather and animals.

The SRC-Cap-5 is a Roof Curb Cap that fits onto an 8" OD roof curb or any of AVP's SRC-5 Roof Curbs.

How the Roof Curb Cap Works:

Roof Curb Caps cover the top of the roof curb when no vent or fan is in place. They keep out precipitation and wildlife from entering the attic. This 8-inch outer-diameter roof curb cap will fit over existing curbs.

The top of the cap is a solid sheet of aluminum that protects the curb's opening. When no vent or fan is installed, it covers the curb's top.

To install, place the roof curb cover over the curb. Make sure the cap is centered, and then attach self-tapping sheet metal screws onto the sides of the cap's flange.

Each Cap is made from durable, rust-free aluminum. The top is solid to shield the opening of the roof curb. They are quick and easy to install. Simply place the cap over the curb and attach the two using screws. See the specific installation guides for each size.

What is a Roof Curb?

A Roof Curb is a type of box that acts as a platform for mounting a roof vent or fan. This platform can also act as a hatch to access the attic below. When a roof vent is not on the curb, the Cap protects the opening from outside elements.

Many roof curbs are made of wood. These curbs are heavy and can damage the roofing membrane, especially when the wood is cut to size on the roof. Instead, you can eliminate the possibility of damage to the roof by buying AVP's prefabricated aluminum curbs. They arrive at the job site preassembled, are lightweight, will never rust or rot, and are made to fit.

If you know it, you may enter the area directly here

The diameter size of all roof vents determines the Net Free Area, also known as the "NFA". NFA is the measured amount of opening each vent offers at each specific size. to be available for venting air through a specific vent size. The calculator below will find the overall number of vents needed to effectively ventilate the targeted attic space.

Once you have the area, the numbers shown below are the number of vents of that size which would ventilate the specified area with both 1/300 and 1/150 rule.

*Please note
The roof vent calculation values shown above are for the exhaust portion of the roof. The same amount of net free air inches is needed for air intake as well. Proper roof ventilation consists of 50% air exhaust and 50% air intake.
