How the Roof Vents Operate:
The Aura Gravity Roof Ventilator works like a turbine with no moving parts.
Aura Gravity Roof Vents rely on the Venturi Effect. This occurs when the wind blows against the outer louvers to create an upward draft, forcing air to flow out of the vent. Thus, heat is removed from the attic in the summer and moisture in the winter. This allows for year-round ventilation on low slopes or flat roofs.
Even the slightest breeze can create exhaust ventilation to draw air out of the gravity vent. Therefore, wind speeds of 11 mph for a 4-inch Gravity Roof Ventilator produce 62 CFM of air exhaust for attic ventilation.
Aura Gravity Roof Vents are UL-listed and rated up to 50+ PSF or wind pressure above 200 MPH. They are also certified by the Texas Department of Insurance and Florida State.
