The 8-inch Aura Gravity Roof Ventilator with Curb Mount Flange is 8 inches in diameter and has a 12-inch tall collar. The model AV-8-C12-CMF has 50 inches of Net Free Area (NFA). All 8-inch gravity roof ventilators have a standard 11.5 x 11.5-inch curb mount flange.

Installation: On a roof curb
This roof vent has a curb mount flange, which allows easy installation on AVP's prefabricated roof curbs or any other roof curb as long as the dimensions are 11 3/8 inches x 11 3/8 inches and square in shape. If the curb is to be covered in roofing material, then the curb should measure 11 inches x 11 inches.
The 8-inch Aura Gravity Roof Vents with curb mount flange are compatible with AVP's roof curbs in heights 6-inch- 8-inch and 12-inch tall roof curbs.
The 8-inch Aura Gravity Roof Vents with curb mount flange are compatible with AVP's insulated roof curbs in heights 6-inch- 8-inch and 12-inch tall roof curbs.
How it Operates:
The Aura Gravity Roof Ventilator works like a turbine with no moving parts.
Aura Gravity Roof Vents rely on the Venturi Effect, which is when the wind blows against the outer louvers to create an upward draft. As a result, air is forced to flow out of the vent. Thus removing heat from the attic in the summer and moisture in the winter. This allows for year-round ventilation on low-slope or flat roofs.
Even the slightest breeze can create exhaust ventilation to draw air from the gravity roof vent. Therefore, wind speeds of 11 mph for an 8-inch Gravity Ventilator produce 185 CFM of air exhaust for attic ventilation.
Aura Gravity Roof Vents are UL-listed and rated up to 50+ PSF or wind pressure above 200 MPH. They are certified by the Texas Department of Insurance, & Florida State Approved.
