Insulated Roof Curb 8" Square x 6" High | R-Value 2.7 | SRC-5-H6-Ins
This insulated roof curb has an 8" square shape that will fit a vent or fan with a curb mount flange measuring 8.5 inches square. AVP's prefabricated Roof Curbs are for flat or low-slope roof applications.
The insulation is Johns Manville R-2.7, 0.5-inch-thick, foil-faced Polyiso board. Polyiso has the highest R-value per inch of any rigid board insulation. This insulation meets both CFC- and HCFC-free specification requirements.
Additionally, it's produced with an EPA-compliant hydrocarbon-based blowing agent with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and virtually no Global Warming Potential (GWP).

Insulated roof curbs provide an extra layer of protection from the outside weather. The Johns Manville insulation is double-foiled to prevent the build-up of moisture and stop possible mold from forming.
Active Ventilation's flashing allows for fasteners to attach the curb to the roof securely. Once placed, it is covered with roofing material for a watertight seal.
Alternatively, building heavy wooden curbs can cause damage to the roofing membrane. Instead, eliminate the possibility of damage by using AVP's prefabricated ones.
This roof curb is made of aluminum alloy 3003-H14 with a thickness of 0.025" (± 0.005”).
In addition, AVP offers curbs that are 6 inches, 12 inches, and 18 inches tall.
What is a Roof Curb?
A Roof Curb is a metal box that acts as a base for a roof vent or fan. They can also work as a hatch, allowing easy access to ductwork, HVAC units, or maintenance in the attic below.
The curb-mounted flange vent lines are ready to install on AVP's roof curbs. This includes Aura Vents, Pop Vents, and Round Back Vents. As well as Attic Fans and Aura Solar Fans for powered ventilation.
