The insulated roof curb has a 23" square OD that will fit a vent or fan with a 23.5 inch OD or AVP's 20-inch vents or fans. These insulated curbs are only compatible with vents or fans that have a curb mount flange. AVP's prefabricated Roof Curbs are for flat roof or low-slope roof applications.
The insulation is Johns Manville R-6, 1-inch thick, foil-faced polyiso board. Polyiso has the highest R-value per inch of any rigid board insulation. This insulation meets both CFC- and HCFC-free specification requirements.
Additionally, it's produced with an EPA-compliant hydrocarbon-based blowing agent with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and virtually no Global Warming Potential (GWP).

Insulated roof curbs provide an extra layer of protection from the outside weather. The Johns Manville insulation is double-foiled to stop the build-up of moisture. Instead, the foil repels water to prevent possible mold from forming.
The flashing allows for fasteners to attach the curb to the roof securely. Once placed, it is to be covered with roofing material for a watertight seal.
Building heavy wooden curbs can cause damage to the roofing membrane. Instead, eliminate the possibility of damage by using AVP's prefabricated ones. This roof curb is aluminum alloy 3003-H14 with a 0.040" thickness (± 0.005”).
A Roof Curb is a metal frame that acts as a base for a roof vent or fan. As a result, this base will provide additional height allowing for installation in all climate zones.
