Active Ventilation - New Videos

This page is a short video collection introducing some of AVP's numerous roof vents. Below are exhaust vents, intake vents, roof fans, and solar fans. Discussed covers the large variety of sizes and the different functions of roof vents. It's important to have proper roof ventilation because it keeps your home energy efficient and dry from the elements.

Proper ventilation will remove excess heat during the summer and moisture during the winter. As a result, it extends the roof's life and the HVAC systems' efficiency. In addition, having a balance of exhaust and intake air will keep the insulation dry.

It's important to know the difference between flat roof ventilation and pitched roof ventilation. Different roof pitches require different vents. To determine the pitch of your roof, please see our Roof Pitch Diagram.
